Class Description:

As Torah-Jews living in a non-Jewish society, it is extraordinarily important for us to have the correct Torah perspective on issues that arise. In this course, Rav Breitowitz will present the Torah ethics on medical topics, while showing how the vast Torah sources and halachic discussions address all topics with which Jews are confronted. This class will discuss medical ethics according to the Torah, and, at the same time, it will demonstrate and show that our Torah provides Divine wisdom on all practical - and current - situations. Rav Yitzchak Breitowitz is a world-renowned lecturer and rabbinic authority, who is the Rav of Kehillas Ohr Somayach, at Ohr Somayach in Yerushalayim. Rav Breitowitz received his bachelor of arts from Johns Hopkins University and obtained semicha from Ner Yisroel. Rav Breitowitz's scope of knowledge, brilliance, as well as a unique ability to grasp complicated material and communicate it clearly to others is legendary. He has lectured extensively throughout the US and Israel on medical, business, and family ethics. He has published numerous articles on bankruptcy, commercial law, medical ethics and Jewish law. This course is 5 sessions.
